JOB TITLE: Operations & Technical Manager

SALARY: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum dependent on experience

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations & Technical Manager to join our Operations team, based in Plymouth. The role will be accountable for EHS, Engineering, Quality, Production, Procurement and Logistics to ensure all activities operate effectively and in compliance with legal and contractual obligations. You will continually review and develop the business unit to achieve market leading performance in terms of safety, quality, lead time and competitiveness.
It is essential that you have demonstrable experience in manufacturing or operations management, preferably within a small manufacturing environment. You will have knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control and safety standards, together with a track record of improving production processes, controlling costs and leading teams. You will also have familiarity of ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001).
Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with strong, passionate and motivational leadership skills is required. You will have experience of managing continuous improvement and change management programmes and be an excellent problem solver with critical thinking skills.

We offer a basic salary of £60,000 – £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience) and a working week of 4 ½ days (38.25 hours per week).
