We’re really happy to welcome Mike Heape to the sales team as the new Technical Sales Engineer at Pyropress. He officially started his new role on the first day of ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi on the 15th November.
Although Mike is new to the sales team, he is very experienced in the Pyropress business and well known by many customers from a previous role with us as a Mechanical Engineer.
It was a natural progression for Mike to step into a technical sales role to provide high quality advice for those in need of hazardous area switches, transmitters, and valves.
Mike began his career as a machine shop apprentice at Pyropress more than a decade ago and through high ambition and study, he has progressed through the Pyropress business, at the same time gaining a number of qualifications including a BSc degree in Mechanical Design and Manufacture, achieving a first-class honours from Plymouth University.
Mike’s most recent role was in the Engineering Department, so he brings very strong Pyropress product and hazardous area (EX) knowledge with him into his new role.
When he’s not busy with customers at Pyropress, Mike is also studying a master’s programme in Engineering Management (MSc) at Brunel University London.
Mike will work alongside Paul Maddern to provide experienced technical sales support to customers all over the world. Here they are on Mike’s first day in the role as ADIPEC 2021 opens its doors.
Mike comments: “I’m keen to speak to new and existing customers to understand their applications and provide the best instrumentation solutions.”
