From 11th – 14th November 2019, Pyropress showcased ATEX and IECEx switches and transmitters to the Oil & Gas industry during ADIPEC 2019 in Abu Dhabi.
At ADIPEC, an exhibition devoted to the oil and gas sector, Pyropress exhibited alongside explosion protection company Pyroban, as well as explosion proof electrical equipment manufacturer Baldwin & Francis.
Pyropress is a leading UK based designer and manufacturer of standard weatherproof and ATEX and IECEx certified switches and transmitters typically used across the oil and gas sector, upstream and downstream.
At the event, Pyropress experts spoke directly to those in the oil and gas industry in the Middle East about their ATEX and IECEx range of products, including their stainless steel range of Perseus switches with new adjustable differential setting capability.
The Pyropress range includes switches and transmitters fully certified to the European ATEX 2014/34/EU and International IECEx for explosion proof (Ex-d) and intrinsically safe (Ex-ia).
ATEX and IECEx switches and transmitters for oil and gas industry
Pyropress offers many options and variants of switches and transmitters to suit different applications across the oil and gas industry. On offshore oil rigs, for example, there could be in the region of 500 Pyropress switches and transmitters on all types of equipment.
“A single gas turbine on an oil rig may have 20 ATEX and IECEx transmitters and switches,” said Paul Maddern, Sales Manager for Pyropress at the show. “Drilling rigs, HVAC systems on accommodation modules, low and high pressure compressors, mud pumps, fire protection systems, shaker systems and lots more all need some sort of control in hazardous areas.”
“We can protect pumps from running over pressure or engines at too high a temperature, sending signals back to a PLC, control unit or distribution system,” he continued.
Pyropress Express Manufacturing
At the show, Pyropress told visitors about its Express Manufacturing Service for switches which can enable customers to have a bespoke sensor delivered in as little as 48 hours after placing an order.
With full onsite design, machine shop, manufacturing, and calibration facilities, Pyropress can provide a fast response, and all customers are supported by its highly commended customer service.
This, combined with hazardous area certification to the latest standards and a wide range of SIL2 switches and transmitters, ensures that Pyropress is the number one choice for its growing customer base and ever expanding market.
