The Perseus range of ATEX and IECEx switches for use in hazardous areas is now available with a stainless steel housing for the first time. Available in pressure, temperature, level and flow variants, Pyropress has also newly developed the adjustable differential setting capability.
“The Perseus range of flameproof switches and intrinsically safe switches now allows fine tuning of compressor cycling in air conditioning and HVAC applications. It also has other uses where hysteresis control is required,” says Stephen Burns, Managing Director Pyropress Limited. “The same module allows two switches with separate settings.”
“We have also reduced installation time, space and overall cost,” says Stephen explaining that there is the option for a second M20 electrical connection. “We have saved the cost of a separate junction box, as the explosion proof junction box is now integral to the switch.”
The Perseus range of switches is fully certified to the European ATEX 2014/34/EU and International IECEx for explosion proof (Ex-d) and intrinsically safe (Ex-ia). Pyropress offers many options and variants of switches for applications where gas, vapour, powders and dusts are present.
