Pyropress has been selected by a number of designers and manufacturers of products (and many start-ups) that generate hydrogen gas (in gigafactories) and then store it. As a result we have developed significant market experience in this eveolving sector.
Pyropress has off-the-shelf intrinsically safe switch and transmitter solutions with significant options and can also provide engineering resource to help develop and manufacture bespoke instrumentation solutions for these hydrogen applications.
Switches and transmitters for hydrogen applications
Made in Britain, our switches and transmitters are chosen by OEMs and installers all over the world building equipment for the hydrogen industry.
For example, we recently designed and supplied a bespoke intrinsically safe Ex-ia temperature switch with thermowell suitable for 690 Bar working pressure. The thermowell was custom manufactured in Inconel 725 which was machined at Pyropress in Plympton, UK. Inconel 725 is a nickel-chromium alloy used for its high strength, excellent fabricability and out-standing corrosion resistance. It provides service temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 1800degF (982degC). Perfect for hydrogen applications.
We are trusted by leading brands globally and approved by national oil companies, hydrogen and nuclear programmes and military organisations throughout the world. We have been selected to support many product development programmes and the many start-ups entering the hydrogen market with design consultancy.
